Mike embodies all of the qualities you look for in a diamond dealer - he's honest, responsive, puts the client's interest first, and is very knowledgeable about the industry. He also has competitive pricing. I had a positive experience working with Mike on my purchase of a custom engagement ring and I would highly recommend him.

In September 2017 I had the pleasure of being referred to Mike Uditsky at Select Diamond Imports. I was on a mission to find someone who could help me build the perfect custom ring for the day I proposed to my girlfriend. Mike's willingness to explain all the details that go into creating a custom diamond ring was incredible. Immediately it was clear just how passionate he is about offering stellar customer service, and to an even higher degree, how important he feeling getting to know specifically what you're looking for in a custom ring is. Mike, literally, will not let you leave his office until you're 100% comfortable (and excited) about the process that goes into the custom ring process. For that process specifically I recommend you read Damian Hornich's review. He described it perfectly. In early 2019, I took my fiancee to meet Mike so she could begin the process of having him work on creating her custom diamond wedding eternity band (she LOVED the engagement ring Mike created for her so she couldn't even fathom having anyone else but Mike do her wedding band). My fiancee was immediately excited to be working with him: commenting specifically on how professional, kind, and personable he is. To top things off, Mike wouldn't let us leave without him polishing my fiancees engagement ring. Mike's service, knowledge, and passion for his profession is so rare to find anywhere, so if you're thinking about who you'd like to create the ring your partner will be wearing for the rest of their life, at minimum just take some time to meet with Mike... I have a feeling you won't be meeting with anyone else after you do.

In case you don't want all the details, I'll summarize by saying that I did my homework and met with about four other jewelers along with visiting some online retailers before meeting with Mike at Select Diamond Imports. He was in a league of his own. For anyone looking for competitive prices but truly exceptional service for all kinds of custom jewelry and diamonds, give Mike a call. The Details I was in the market for a custom diamond ring. I met with several jewelers in the downtown/uptown Toronto area before contacting Mike at Select Diamond Exports, who was referred to me by a friend. I gave Mike a call on a Saturday and, after getting to know what I was looking for and my budget, agreed to meet with me the following Monday after work (which was very convenient for me and not so convenient for him), When I showed up at his office I knew I was getting the next level of customer service. Mike laid out several stones of varying size, clarity, cut etc. and, without giving me the details of each, invited me to loop them and decide for myself which one was right for me. He then explained all the differences between them. I never got an up-sell and he didn't push me in any specific direction. I was impressed by the range of stone that was available in my budget and landed on the perfect one. Second, Mike created an absolutely perfect ring. I gave him two images to work from and he and his team created a brilliant 3D drawing and wax model. I was kept in the loop every step of the way and invited to see how it all progressed. The end product actually exceeded my expectations. Moreover, his price for the ring material ( in either gold or platinum) and workmanship was significantly less than other places I had visited. I'd definitely go back. Bottom line is that I'd highly recommend Mike at Select Diamond Imports.
