Toronto Western Family Health Team

The service have always left me and my partner with a very positive experience. We love how our family doctor stays on top of our health concerns and is very responsive. The facility is also clean, quiet, and located in a very accessible part of the city. We feel so happy and lucky that we got in as their patients.

I have always received top notch care through this clinic. Every physician I've seen (including my own) has been professional, caring, and helpful. The nurse practitioners are equally as wonderful. They've cared for 4 generations of our family and I honestly can't say enough good things about the Family Health Team.

Had to travel an hour and a half for an appointment only for my doc(?) Maxine, to want me out of the office as quickly as possible. Wouldnt listen to me discuss symptoms and told me my symptoms didnt sound like the issue I was having. When asked what those symptoms are she said the same thing. What a waste of time. Now there arent even phone appointments since COVID is over. Is this a joke? Try and find a better hospital for primary care, this one has gone downhill so drastically its astounding.

Absolutely staggering how bad this place is at just providing basic care to patients. They never answer their phones, and when you leave a voicemail you never get a call back. Like ever. But if you try to message them online, they refer you to their phone booking system and end the conversation. The amount of medical care I have had to delay because I was waiting for a call-back that never came, it's shameful. most of the time I end up having to take my sick child to a walk-in clinic, including for follow-up appointments for care initially provided by the family health team. Not because they don't have doctors available, but because I can't even get through to anyone to book an appointment. This place has cost our family so much of time, money, and distress. It's just so badly run. We haven't seen our actual doctor in years (fine tbh, he's not very good and the residents are better), the majority of our family's care happens outside the clinic, and I have never once had them follow up on urgent issues when they've failed to respond in a timely fashion. Not even to make sure we eventually got the care we were calling about. Nothing. The feedback link on their site doesn't even work. On the plus side if you CAN get through to them they have lots of doctors on staff so you can usually get an appointment fairly quickly. But that's such a huge "if."
