    We love Dr Peer

Loved this office when we started here over 7 years ago. Dr Jacobson provided amazing care to both my children and I will always remember how great she was. However, since the start of the pandemic this office has gone way downhill. They are impossible to book an appointment, my kids missed several important vaccination milestone and it took months to get seen for a wellness check. I understand that they are overwhelmed and understaffed as most healthcare in this country is but if you can not provide adequate care to your current patients than stop taking on new ones. I hope they get it together as we really did have a great experience, until we didn't.

A great place to go to if you and your child want to be completely disrespected, shamed, and talked down to. The receptionist, Anita, is downright abusive. She is constantly condescending, and has even raised her voice at patients and parents. I witnessed another event today that was horrible, which is why I am finally writing this. I can't believe she has gotten away with this behaviour for so long. For a clinic that is so open and accepting of this abuse in front of everyone, you have to wonder what happens behind closed doors.

The doctors are wonderful - if you can get an appointment with one. Their website booking form is confusing and often just completely offline. And calling them isn't an option.

I had the worst experience at this place. The staff is rude and I felt discriminated against by a Caucasian lady at the front desk. We arrived a few minutes past our scheduled time, and stood there for 5 or so minutes waiting for a receptionist to notice us, until I had to interrupt and ask for help. The receptionists were all gathered around a toddler and her mother, Claire bear they called her. Laughing and having a good time. By no means did I take offence to this since its supposed to be a child friendly place; it was nice to see the staff interact with other children in such a friendly way. I suppose I daydreamed that my child would be welcome in such a manner at some point. Its possible that the fact I interrupted their socializing rubbed them the wrong way, because one of the receptionist came over with a frown on her face to greet us. What happened?! Werent they all laughing and having a good time with Claire bear?! The receptionist proceeded to point out we were late and said she would check with the doctor to see if the doctor is willing to see us. Lo and behold, the doctor decided not to see us. I made the error of judgement of expressing my dissatisfaction with a facial expression and a deep sigh, and I implored the receptionist to please let us see the doctor for just 5 minutes. I did go too far I suppose when I pointed out that we had been standing there for 5 or more minutes watching them play and laugh with Claire bear. My daughter only needed those 5 minutes to get her 12 months vaccine. Isnt that what the average doctor time amounts to anyway? Ive never been in there for more than 5 minutes. Well, the receptionist doubled down on her position and said that we can reschedule for 21 days after today. For our 15 minute appointment, of which they had consumed 5 minutes and we had been 5 minutes late. My facial expressions cannot be concealed as I thought it was unreasonable but I did not try to debate them further because what can you do, right? So I am back at the entrance putting on my shoes and a different receptionist came all the way from the back of the office, made her way to the entrance and stood before me to rub it in my face. Well, I just want to remind you that Doctor Naymark has a fully booked practice and we only took you as patients as a favor. If you dont like it, we can refer you somewhere else. What in the name of Jesus is this woman talking about?! My family and I had already resigned ourselves to leaving and coming back in 21 days because we were going to go to the walk in clinic to get the vaccines my daughter needed anyway. Why did she feel so emboldened to come and get in my face? she wouldn't let it go, and she continued until the doctor showed up. would you believe the doctor had the guile to say the exact same words to me? "we only took you as patients as a favor." I want to know what did the doctor expect me to do at that point? bow down and kiss the ground she walks on? all i was asking is to be treated with respect and dignity. claire bear got nothing but love though, probably because she was white.
