Urban Bark

We have used both the daycare and Training with Sophie at Urban Bark. Sophie provided us with lots of tools unique to our dog Potatos needs and our goals, from skills to new ways to play. We saw so much positive change in Potato and he seems so much calmer and confident. She was very patient with Potato as well as he can be quite sensitive. Thank you Sophie! Potato also loves the playcare and gets so excited to attend.

Sam has been boarding my dog for quite some time now. From the first time my dog stayed with her, it was clear that Sam takes great pride in what she does and is very knowledgeable in her field. I travel a lot and its great knowing my dog is well taken care of. My dog is picky with who she likes and she absolutely loves Sam. I never have to worry about a thing when Im away. I have a large active dog and Sam provides personalized care to make sure my dog receives the proper exercise and attention that she needs, as well as provides me with updates on how my dog is doing. Sam has always gone above and beyond with caring for my dog and shes also given me a lot of help with training exercises and activities that I can do with my dog. Shes been an absolute life saver and is the only person I trust with boarding my dog

We have been customers of urban bark since December of 2021. Our dog has been coming here since she was a puppy and we've never taken her to any other groomer. We were happy customers who always paid on time, tipped the groomers and picked up our dog early/on time. This week we went to drop off our dog for her scheduled groom and attempted to call the office upwards of 5x with no answer. There is no one working the front desk, so you have to call when you arrive and wait outside the locked door until someone comes. Finally, someone picked up and we were able to drop off our dog. We were called 3 hours later to come and pick her up. We arrived shortly after to pick her up, we called 3 times with no answer. We called again and asked if we could pick her up at the back door because we had been waiting and needed to move our car and were told that was fine. Their head dog trainer brought our dog out to us and was visibly annoyed and agitated right away. She explained that they didn't have time to allow us to pick up our dog at the back door and shoved our dog into our arms in a less than gentle way. This handling caused our dog to let out a yelp(not normal for her). We asked what the issue was and explained that we have always been loyal customers and we're not trying to cause a disruption. She told us to call and speak to her manager. So, we called her manager and explained the situation. Instead of taking ownership of the situation, we were met with "I'm sorry you feel that way". If they had tried to make this right at all we might still be customers. But there was no accountability taken whatsoever, if their dog trainer thinks that this was a positive interaction that is a serious concern. On top of all of this, we received our bill and were charged $10 more than the last time she was groomed. In the future , we will be taking our business somewhere where the price matches the service.

Training with Sophie - Sophie has been amazing to work with and has helped our 10 month Lab puppy so much over the last couple months. During our intake session, Sophie quickly understood what type of training Fitz needed and what would make him most successful. She has a deep understanding of dog behaviour and taught us a ton. We learned so much over the two months and saw drastic changes with consistent work and patience :) I'd recommend anyone to Sophie with a 'teenager puppy' like ours. Thank you Sophie x 100000

Very happy with our experience here. Sophie's patient and instructive training has made a huge difference in our day to day lives with our strong willed chihuahua. Lauren's cozy and caring overnight boarding gave him a safe place to sleep when I was out of town. Thank you :)
