Waterloo College Hall

Rooms are nice but are hotel style. No interaction outside of their single room unless they seek it out. So depends if the student is comfortable doing that or not. Dining hall is in the centre of campus so its a trek and then the people they meet can be from anywhere do they dont meet students from their own residence that way either. Overall if you want privacy, you got it. If you want social or balance, its available but you have to find your way to it on your own.

It's officially very OK. Rooms are very small, laundry is good, lots of drunk people in the hallways late at night, dons are generally nowhere to be seen and don't stop people from making a mess. Wifi is unreliable at best; the ICT people are somewhat incompetent and will lie to you to get you to leave. If the internet is down, expect it to be down for at least a day. Internet outages occur roughly once every two weeks. Internet speed is pretty good when it actually works. Water is only technically safe for consumption, but that's more of a city of Waterloo problem. Shower has only two settings: frigid and boiling. Overall, compared to University of Waterloo residences, it's definitely worse for the money you're paying for it. But, the location is good and right in between UW and WLU. Pick your poison carefully.
