2 of my friends lived there between 2015 and 2022. I'm leaving this review on their behalf because I can't believe what they've been through only to find an affordable place to live. The rent is cheap, but still too high for the horrible living environment. Negative : Roaches, spiders and mice. Humidity and heat issues (they leave the windows open on each floor and insects crawl in due to holes in the screens and the heat gets inside real quick even if you run your air conditionner.) Some say the higher floors are better, they aren't. Repairs are botched and cheap. They will do the bare minimum. No control on heating. Cracks and holes everywhere inside apartments and also in the corridors on every floor. Water leaks in the ceiling, and they don't bother fixing the bubbling, cracked paint. Broken, moldy kitchen cabinets, the bath faucet is made of plastic, baths are painted, shower walls peeling off. Roaches coming from the power outlets and under the floors. They use white caulking and tape to repair stuff and don't even bother applying it neatly. Don't be fooled by the nice renovated entrance! The building only has dusty air vents, no fans in the kitchens & bathrooms. You will probably hear your neighbors' every move because the place is not sound-proof. A lot of noise from outside as well. (Sirens, dogs, honking, etc.) Positive : 1 cat or dog is allowed. The view is really nice. The building manager is 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly. There are elevators and an intercom system with a key fob. There is a huge park right in front of the building (including a dog park). Coinamatic laundry room on the 13th floor. There are a few restaurants, a dry cleaner and a driving school on the ground level, a convenience store and Pizza Pizza restaurant right across the street.

A well-located rental building where you have access to stores like Metro, Akhavan, Esposito, etc. The Vendom metro station is only 5-7 mins by walk, and there is a bus station right in front of the building. Its good for students and those who dont want to pay much for rent. The manager is a nice and helpful lady, but she has her own rules and you have to respect them!!! The building is old, so dont be surprised if you see some problems. Higher floors are generally better than lower ones. The number of parkings is very limited there and there is a long waiting list for parkings. You can park your car in Girouard if you dont have a parking.

Elevators always have problems, there are roaches, and the manager smokes indoors in her office. She's been doing it for years. It's disgusting. You can smell it when you walk by.

the building is good and well-maintained, and if you are a clean person and have poison for the roaches you will rarely see them :)
