Hôtel Saint-Laurent Montréal

We stayed at the suite room. Bed and sheets was clean. Washroom and showers were good too. Kitchen and living rooms was a bit old. You can't really decide if it is clean or not. Hotel location is close to downtown and you can simply walk to many landmarks. Could be a good choice if you're looking for an economical option close to downtown especially for younger people. Not for your honeymoon...

Location and service are great, very welcoming staff and the possibility to park your car, even though not exceptionally cheap, is great. Rooms are equipped like appartments, just like you'd expect, and very much made for families and groups. Our room was, however, super oldish, which in itself is not an issue, and at times dangerous: a pipe from the room above leaked and upon closer inspection it must've been coming from their toilet (unless water is naturally yellow in Montreal) plus one of the TV cables was cut slightly open, which isn't that great when you're having kids around. Also, that was the only working TV, so keeping it unplugged was only a temporary option after all. Also, there was a fire somewhere on the street and the smoke caused the smell associated with it to enter our room. Not the hotels fault and they provided a machine to clean the air, which worked more or less, yet the machine was never picked up again during our stay. All in all a really good budget option to stay in central Montreal, close to everything.
