I originally gave this notary 5 stars. But after our initial communication and transaction, it was all downhill from there. Over 4 months with no communication (this is followed by another 2 months where there was no communication), after documents were sent to Italy with no follow-up on the tracking by either Mr. Ferrara or his lawyer in Rome. My emails asking where this document was were repeatedly ignored. This is AFTER I was told I needed 2 documents to get what I wanted done and paying thousands for both, only to find out I only needed one (not from him or his lawyer, but from a family member). So I had to renounce one. I was never offered a refund for the unneeded doc even though Mr. Ferrara conceded in person was his mistake, although I didn't need to pay for its reversal. The reversal was sent to Italy but no one ever followed up on it. I still have no idea where it is. It took my threatening legal action for him to finally leave another copy of the doc with his receptionist (that's how easy the solution was after 4 months of no communication!). But then *I* was left paying for the official stamps at the consulate and Fedexing this doc back to Italy. It also still has to be filed in Italy which will cost me again, all services that I have already paid for mind you. Mr. Ferrara lied in his last email to me saying I asked for those 2 docs. I did not. I told him my problem and he offered those solutions. I even have an email saying that he was the first notary to offer this kind of solution. He also sad that the delay was only deemed *by me* as excessive because this was not urgent (although he told me there were statutes) and that I was overly emotional since it was for an estate. Also, apparently he couldn't answer emails because he was out of town LOL He was the THIRD notary I tried for an issue I have in Italy. Unfortunately, if you have issues in Italy with properties etc, it may actually be cheaper and cause less headaches just to go to Italy yourself and get it done and be on vacation at the same time. No excuses for this level of service and gaslighting.
