Horrible experience! Was abandoned by the therapist who claimed it was all my fault, even though I had done nothing wrong, and refused to refer me to someone else. She cut all contacts leaving me completely destroyed. Out of complete desperation, I committed a suicidal gesture and ended up in intensive care. I tried contacting her again and she didn't want to talk to me. I tried to get an other therapist from the Institute and they said that my file had been closed. I told them my story, hoping to get some support, and they said it wasn't their problem. Lost and angry, I filed a complaint against the therapist to l'Ordre des Psychologues. The therapist lied to the trustee and got away with it. I was so angry that I wrote to her to tell her how angry I was. She then proceeded to file a complaint of criminal harassment against me. Fortunately, the inspector had enough judgement to dismiss the case since it was an unfair accusation. I'm very shocked and disappointed in the way the Institute refused to handle the problem and I hope this dishonest therapist will never work with clients who have abandonment issues ever again. If I could put 0 stars, I would. Even -5 stars, since I've been hurt and not helped at all. The only thing I learned is they cannot be trusted.
