Affinity Credit Union

Affinity has changed the credit card they are affiliated with from Collabria to Brim. Both are MasterCard, but I've been having issues making the same transactions with the new card. Specifically I used to by lottery tickets through the Lotto Spot app, but the new credit card is flagging the transaction as fraudulent. Brim says it is the banking policy that doesn't allow it, the same banking policy the other card allowed??? Cannot get a real answer to why they are blocking the transaction other than they tell me it will never be allowed. Stay away from Affinity if you plan on convenience.

I deposited cash into my kid's accounts on boxing day ( the tellers were closed, and they wanted to go shopping) after I checked the app and realized the accounts weren't showing anything was deposited I couldn't transfer the funds or make a purchase. I was finally able to talk to somebody today and was informed that it is their policy to hold any cash deposit for 10 days. I know most banks will place a hold on cheques, but I didn't deposit a cheque or an envelope. I deposited cash, and it should be available to them immediately. My youngest child is with TD and doesn't have these problems, so I guess I'll be switching everyone to TD...
