I ordered the Tesla Y model back in March 28, 2023 and a month after, I got the email confirming that the car is ready for delivery. I confirmed the scheduled delivery time was: April 29, 2023 11:00AM and drove from Regina to Saskatoon to pick up the car. When I showed up at the 703 Melville location and Tesla delivered team just got my signed the paperwork and gave me the bill of sale so I can go and register the car. I then inspected the car and saw the paint crack over 2cms long vertically the edge of the left rear door. They tried to cover up by some very unprofessional paint touch up (looks like a 10 years old kid using the crayon). I was mad and asked "why did not your team notify me the paint crack issue and asked if I accepted the delivery or not before I drove all the way from Regina to Saskatoon?". One of the lady their responded: "we forgot" and another lady said: "I did not even know the paint crack issue because another lady was taken care of the delivery of this car". I told them that: "what should be done is you folks should take the pictures of the crack and sent me in advance and asked if I accept the car or not, instead of making me driving and wasting my whole day from Regina to Saskatoon". They said: "OK, we will get an autobody shop in Regina fix and re-paint the door at our cost and will give you $300 service credit". I said: "no, I don't accept the brand new car repainted and the $300 credit. Please re-order the new one". I am very disappointed with the delivery team in Saskatoon for 2 reasons: 1) why they did not tell me in advance the issue instead making me driving all the way from Regina to Saskatoon and wasted my whole day 2) When I shown up there, why they did not disclose the issue until I inspected the car and point out the issue 3) $300 credit for the over $80,000 car for wasting customer the whole's day and all the inconvenience. It is the world class company, but this experience is not world class for sure. Hope Elon M fixes this issue.
