Daytona Homes Saskatoon

Having operated in real estate for nearly 15 years, I have never been so disappointed by a real estate experience as I have with Daytona Homes, whose one of the brands under the Tacada Real Estate Umbrella. I truly regret ever using Daytona Homes as my developer as the lack of service and competence is truly remarkable; and this goes from top to bottom. For starters, the sales associate that they had help us the first time didnt even know which lots were available in the City. I had to show her on the City of Saskatoon webpage the different phases and even then she still didnt know what was happening. Not only was this concerning, but it was a red flag that I wish I would have not given into. To give you some insight, we started this process in September 2021 and since then it has been a nightmare. I highly recommend going with any other developer such as Touchstone, Northridge, Ehrenburg, or Dream as youll have some hiccups along the way, but nothing as terrible and regretful as dealing with Daytona. As every time I tell a client about my experience, they are in awe and instantly rule out Daytona as an option and I recommend you do the same. The second sales associate we had, didnt have enough time to help us so she sent us back to the first associate. If it wasnt for a floorplan that we truly loved, we wouldnt have taken the chance to meet with the third associate. Yet, the one thing I made my spouse aware was that all the reviews about their customer service was dreadful and we are taking a huge risk (keep in mind that they changed their Google page so all the negative reviews are gone as they created a new listing, but the previous page provided some very good insights as we experienced the same nightmare but even worse than we could have imagined.) Long story short, I will never buy from Daytona again and I will never recommend it to a client, friend, or colleague; thats how disappointed I am. As a home buyer, and especially one buying a new home, you will experience hiccups throughout the process with any developer. Ive seen it time and time again, but these hiccups are manageable; the issues experienced throughout this nightmare with Daytona were not minor road bumps, they were hurdles that were never overcome and something I truly wish I never experienced; which therefore, I would never place a client, friend or colleague in that same position. I respect that the GM finally chose to reach out to me, but too much has happened and I am at the point that I want nothing to do with my home or Daytona. A new home is supposed to bring joy and excitement, and I have the complete opposite feelings regarding this process, and all the issues that I faced along the way. Feel free to reach out and I will more than glad go in to more depth about my experience as if you are considering buying a new home, I at least would want you to make an informed decision for you and your family to be happy throughout the process.
