I was in this store on March 23rd, 2023 around 4:30-4:45pm. Me and my friend were in the store, looking to buy gauze for my cousin who just had her wisdom teeth removed. While waiting for her reply to make sure we were grabbing the right ones, a first nations woman stormed out the store saying "never coming here for my prescriptions again." *WE DID NOT KNOW HER and we arrived in the store way before she walked in* Not even one minute after she left, the workers approached us and asked in a rude tone : "hi, i thought you were with the lady that was just here- did you need something". It was said in a condescending tone and and was giving the impression she just wanted us to get out of the store. As Indigenous Youth, we run into this a lot. We weren't even dressed "rough"- we don't act "ghetto"- we were our winter jackets and warm layers. I do not appreciate being made to feel this way when I was doing something important that a friend needed. PLEASE educate your staff on prejudice and racism. We left the store because she made us feel so uncomfortable. Please talk to the staff that were working that evening.
