I advise you to go elsewhere for your re-upholstery needs. Gregg gave me the most economical estimate and the shortest timeline when I was looking to re-upholster 4 dining room chairs. There were 5 five-star reviews on Google, and I asked to see some work already completed to be reassured that my expectations would be met. Examples were produced to demonstrate competence so I proceeded and paid the deposit. The chairs do have an unusual shaped side panel in the back, and stitching details that give the chair some extra class, and I emphasized getting them right when I dropped off the chairs. After the first go-round only one of the chairs was even remotely acceptable. The under padding hadnt been smoothed so there were large lumps under the upholstery. The corner where the back, seat, and side met in the unusual angle was an absolute mess; very uneven with bulges. When I said the work was not acceptable, Gregg acknowledged the poor job and agreed to re-do but couldnt give me a timeline for completion. A week later he sent an email asking if I would accept the chairs with a $100 discount. My reply was no, you said you could do this work properly and that is what I expect. About a month later the chairs were ready. When I picked them up he redid a couple of staples so cuts in the upholstery material are not visible, but otherwise they are now acceptable. So he got it mostly right in the end, hence the three stars, but next time I will avoid the process and uncertainty. Can you tell which is before and which is after? Photos 1,5, 6 and before.
