They do come in and revamp suites to charge double or sometimes triple the original rent prices. Then they slowly start to add fees in order to increase their revenue. Pretty name, pretty mission statement for a company leading the charge in the housing crisis. Oh but yeah painting the build was... cool?

I was looking for strata documents and was redirected to another government website. I have another condo unit which is under Tribe property management and their services are not up to par. Especially the accounting department which they delay more than two months to report the transaction and not accruing the invoices so it's very hard to gauge the expenditure of the strata for budget purposes. The PM is inexperienced and lack of ability to answer most day to day business. Overall not satisfied with Tribe. There are not too many large PM companies out there and decent managers.

*** Response to follow up Edit*** As stated to Michelle, leaving the responsibility for placing the orders to the Owners leaves Owners in a situation where they are using a site that they are not familiar with using since they are not typically Conveyancers ordering these documents on a regular basis. The website you are indicating you have to hover over the tiniest "I" button to see anything, There is no alert that pops up. Your Conveyancing department gave a specific quote without indication that the "Other Documents" were a requirement. The website does not clearly spell this out without an Owner having to do their own investigation. The Management Company should be providing clear, transparent instruction and pricing quotes to ensure. This did not happen and your office is refusing to take any accountability for their own shortcomings. As I also stated to Michelle in a response email: "I emailed Erik to take the Special Levy fee and I was responded to within two minutes of my sent email, yet here we are at the near end of April after my original request for the Form B was sent January 31st. The inability of your company to treat Strata Owners with the respect they deserve (timely responses, accurate information, following up when stating follow up will be done) is substandard and frankly unprofessional. The fact that you have taken this long to get back to me to deny a request for refund of $35.50 is distasteful and speaks volumes about how far Tribe will go to ensure they not just penny pinch, but also will not accept responsibility for their own short comings when it comes to their responsibility to the Owners." Original: This management company is horrendous. You cannot get a response back in any timely fashion unless you are giving them authorization to debit money. In addition they are not clearly disclosing what they are charging for copies of Form Bs which then result in an unexpectedly high bill. When you request a refund they just quote the strata act requirements without taking any accountability for their own lack of transparency. We have had at least 6 different strata managers since they were hired back in 2018. The turnover is concerning and there is no consistent person to talk to which means issues fall through the cracks and nothing gets resolved. Whatever you do, do not use Tribe.
