CIBC Branch with ATM

First time at this location. I went in on a Saturday morning. There is minimal staff. Expect to wait in line. The line was growing as I was waiting for my turn in the cue. There were no additional teller(s) to relieve the other two tellers. If I could use the ATM, I would have. I needed to verify my ID. So, I had to make an in person payment on my credit card. I do not have an account at this location. Probably will never have one here.

They need more appointment times, two weeks out, and limited to during the day 11-2 is not good at all. Makes it impossible to do anything.

The bank itself is fantastic and the people are great BUT when it comes to mortgage advisors, specifically Vanessa I do NOT recommend! From the beginning, nothing but miscommunication and constant talking in circles. Doesn't keep track of what is being asked of her, and then has the nerve to be rude at the end of it all. If she was upfront with the costs, fees and promotions right off the start, this would have been a better review.

Horrible, horrible service! A few years ago most of the CIBC branch offices closed. Now the nearest CIBC is several miles away. The banks that are left open are poorly staffed. Today while getting some cash I decided to see if I could open a Joint US dollar account. I was told I needed to make an appointment but thought perhaps I could do my part and sign and my wife could pop in later and sign. This branch has probably 15 office rooms, mostly vacant. There were perhaps 6 staff in the offices but none had any customers. I popped in an office where two staff were killing time and asked if I could fill out the application. They said I needed to make an appointment with one of the tellers. There was only one and luckily she wasn't busy. She said the next opening was two weeks away. I said but there are at least 6 people in here doing nothing, couldn't one of them help? No, they don't do account applications. There you go, treated like trash again by CIBC in a branch office filled with bored staff who apparently are unable to help with a simple new account application. It's time to move.
