Marvin was my mother's Nurse Practitioner (house calls) for 3 years until she transitioned into a personal care home. Marvin was always very responsive to questions. Was able to see my mom quickly when needed and was pro-active in all her health care needs. His bedside manner was always calm.and caring, even with a less than co-operative patient. Marvin is fantastic. I was able to reach him by phone early Saturday morning and book a same day appointment with him within the hour. He was easy to talk to and listened to my concerns attentively and was able to calm me down. He was able to send my prescription to the pharmacy of my choice and a day later followed up with me about my lap workup. Marvin is very professional, kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

Marvin Castro has been a real blessing for me. He's patient, caring and a very good listener. It can be difficult navigating the health system if you dont have the proper care. With Marvin's help I am able to get back to running my business , plan my future while dealing with various issues and procedures.

I've been in Winnipeg for just over two years and I can finally say that I think I've finally found "my doctor". Our healthcare can feel a little backwards at times, and even when I thought I found a great doctor; she moved on without any notice. That left me scrambling to find a "new" family doctor as quickly as possible and unfortunately I found someone that perhaps wasn't the best fit for me. That's not to say that this previous said doctor isn't great - but I can say that I've received more attention, care, and compassion from Dr. Marvin de Castro in the month since I've been speaking with him (virtually) than I have from my family doctor who has been my doctor for over a year. This is a doctor that cares. A doctor that remembers your name and genuinely wants to know how you're doing. Yes, there is a fee. But I would rather pay a fee to have a doctor who remembers my name than introduce himself to me every time I call or enter his office as if it's the first time we've ever met. He's also quick with faxes for prescriptions should you need them, and takes the time to sort out your issues. He listens and that's a rarity these days. Dr. Marvin has given me more of my own sanity in a month than any doctor in years. Thank you for your help, and please go and see him. You won't regret it.
