Sara Riel

I'm not sure why this agency exists. I've phoned, showed up for appointments to have no one acknowledge my existence. I've been in trouble and needed help. No response. I'm so hurt by this service and lack of assistance . Why? What is the goal of this agency and united way funds provided to this organization. I'm not the only person who has fallen short of response and help.

Very bad experience with them. My emergency contact was contacted TWICE just because my counsellor couldnt reach me by phone. I am bilingual and prefer to communicate in English but my counsellor communicated with me in French until I let them know of my preference. After that, the language barrier made it very hard to understand each other. They suggested meeting at my work but I am very triggered by strangers showing up at my workplace. I was very uncomfortable and was denied a different counsellor.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. My journey here began as a client receiving counselling services. I proceeded to become a volunteer and continue to this day to do so. And recently I am proud and excited to say I am an employee at Sara Riel! Absolutely everyone here is kind, compassionate, supportive and professional. Feel that I have found my forever home and am grateful for where this path has taken me.
