I used Jim In the past and currently on a couple rentals. The first time I used him was because another company was gauging me in pricing and even after the first time they did the work nothing was done. I found Jim through a contact and he didnt everything right and was priced super well and he goes above and beyond what he has to do. He honestly did me a solid before and this year right now. Him and his wife do amazing work and I couldnt be happier. Definitely and high recommend using him for anything you have going on in your home or rentals. I found this business on Kijiji about 4-5 years ago, and Jim was very friendly, professional and helped us with our pest program completely, that I never worry about it again. Overall, he was very pleasant and I never had to phone for his services again, which I'm thankful for. Fast forward to today, I called Jim a few days ago saying I was a past happy customer requesting his services for one of my families that I work with. I explained payment was coming from my work organization and may take some time, and he said he wasn't worried about that and agreed to treat the family's home. When he knew I was a previous customer he began asking what address I lived at that he treated (my personal address). He was very persistent. First, the reason was "out of curiosity", the second reason being "I want to make sure you're not an unpaid customer" and the third reason "I enter in my database every interaction I have with a customer". Well, which is it? It's kind of scary to give out my personal address like that. I said to him, what does my personal address have to do with this family's extermination? This is when he started developing an attitude and threatening to stop service altogether. He went to the family's apartment and did not do the treatment that he normally does, except put chemicals in the baseboards (here I was thinking he was chemical free, which he always proudly shares). That weekend the family was eaten by bed bugs. He said there was a supplier issue with sticky traps and got some on Monday. He stated he would come at 3pm then sent an angry email because he said it's his policy to be paid at time of treatment. He was extremely rude to the family, and extremely rude to me all throughout this process. He also stated in an email that someone was micro-managing his business practices, the family just wanted him to be thorough because his visit at the family's home was mostly just spent talking to the family, and not actually doing the treatment. I'm posting this review because this business owner doesn't want anyone's business because he is so afraid of not being paid. Being rude is never warranted. It's unprofessional. I'm sad to say I will never call him for his services again. This city needs his bed bug treatment and he needs to re-think the way he handles his business.
