Weve been with them for 4 years, first in Killarney Gardens: great clean apartment, very reasonable rent, perfect location, very responsive management. They took care of every problem in a timely manner, we got our full deposit back when we moved out. We upgraded to Baylor townhouses because we needed more bedrooms, and because of our positive experience with Lakewood agencies. The townhouse was in a bad shape but they promised to fix it and they kept their word: new carpets, new flooring, fresh paint. Were so grateful.

The properties are reasonable, if not fully maintained. The complex I lived in had severe foundation issues, many properties leaked water into the basement regularly. Complex lighting is only partly maintained, the access roads tend to have issues with pot holes. Local residents and commercial vehicles use the Access road as a short cut, often speeding. They also use the complex to dump household waste, like furniture - I'd suggest Lakewood set up cameras. We had a spate of persons associated with former tennants turning up, some obviously under the influence, claiming they used to buy drugs from the property & responding aggressively when being asked to leave. After 6 years of renting from Lakewood, we were still waiting for various repairs from when we moved in. They do some repairs, water damage caused by poorly maintained plumbing, but not damage caused by previous tenants, which I can only imagine they changed the previous tenants for - for example. They never carry out routine maintenance, or deal with most tennant issues such as noise complaints. Resident Managers just pass the buck to the office, or just ignore you. The office in turn mostly ignore tenants, when they have responded it's never been a pleasant experience and their attitude has been poor. In my humble opinion, if you never need them for anything you will get on just fine.

I honestly wonder why my husband and I didn't take a look at reviews before settling for this agency because they are absolutely and clearly so unprofessional and lack empathy. A bedbug infested apartment and we are being told we won't be able to move out until our contract expires, like WHY???? Why should we endure the bugs till the end of our contract plus I'm also an expecting mother, this agency should be reported to whoever!

My girlfriend and I applied for a unit, and instead of asking what happened in our past which could have lead to issues with credit (went on long term disability to have my leg amputated and in turn some things had to suffer financially) they just deny you. This is the problem with no face companies. Even with a guarantor, who they didn't even look at us for to apply. Can see why your reviews are 1.8, you'll except old age pension but not 2 employed persons. Good luck
