CIBC Branch with ATM

Poor customer service. I was told my loan application looked promising, which ended up taking 10 weeks longer than our initial conversation led me to believe without any direct communication as to why, only to not be approved because of something flagged in our initial meeting as seemingly inconsequential. Less than half my email inquiries were answered; only when I expressed frustration did I get a response. No faith in their product or process after this experience.

From the second we were referred to the mortgage specialist at CIBC Bedford it was clear they werent reading emails or listening to details being given to them. We were then transferred to another individual:JM, who had a difficult time getting back to us in a timely manner, keeping details organized. We made it clear further issues wouldnt be tolerated and were promised a smooth process. Well that lead to incorrect details being sent to our lawyer and additional funds being placed in our account and when we contacted JM to figure out what was happening he never looked into it and we began receiving interest bills for money we never signed documents to accept . We followed up with him several times until he finally said of course we will remove the interest charges for the error just bring in a check for the amount, done we returned the money to the correct spot. Now he is refusing to remove the interest charges and when I contacted him by phone and tried to contact the branch manager neither of them returned my phone calls. Absolutely wild behavior by bank employees. Needless to say I did not use CIBC for my next purchase. I would avoid this branch at all costs, mistakes happen but not having the ability to take responsibility for your mistakes and remedy the problem is unacceptable when dealing with peoples money.

Had a terrible experience there. My new credit card was sent to this branch and they should have called for me to pick up. I waited but didnt get any call. Online customer service told me the card should be ready so I went to this branch. Receptionist/teller from this branch said she was not able to leave a message for my voicemail because it doesnt indicate my name which is untrue as my voice message has my name! Ill accept it if she says she is going to call. But she chose to lie to make it simple for her. I dont trust her and this branch anymore!
