Starlane Homes @Stouffvile (Grenoble Heights)- I wanted to express my sincere appreciation to Matthew, the site supervisor who took over the charge of construction oversights at Grenoble Heights by Starlane homes. I am very much impressed with his excellent customer support on the timely fixes I requested. He is very prompt and pretty organized in addressing customer issues. He patiently listens to our problems, promptly follows up and gets things done much faster than my expectation to the best of his abilities and available resources. None of the problems you brought to him are ignored or unnoticed. I am super happy with his service done for our new home. Service: Home building

Their motto: Terrible quality finishes, installed terribly. My family and friends have purchased through various builders in the past, and I have been involved in the process three times. Starlane stands out as worst experience. From the beginning, they were unhelpful and impatient. The options were limited, and exorbitantly over priced. They delayed with absolutely no recourse for the buyers. And now that we've received the house, I'm further disappointed. The kitchen cabinets were of terrible quality (we paid for an upgrade) and smaller than standard (11in depth). There are damaged cabinet doors, missing tiles, cracked windows, holes in the grout, splits in the stair spindles, stains on the carpet... The third-party PDI person said some of that would be fixed, but didn't see a problem with others. The fix to the stained carpet was to clean it, which simply left blotchy spots. The PDI lady said they won't fix the bathroom cabinet, so didn't mention it. At every turn, there are more hidden costs. We were forced to lease a hot water tank from their supplier for over $50/month for 5 years, with no opt out. This is more than purchasing one or renting from other companies (~$20). They also send a technology company that wires you for security alarms and cameras even if you don't want them. They leave uncovered, unfinished holes with the wires exposed. We were told to buy our own covers when we asked. Given the price of this house, I am truly heartbroken.

Poor build quality, worst customer service. They never return your call and they treat it like it's none of their business. They promised to fix the deck issue that encroached my property line latest by mid August cause our neighborhood is puting up fences on Aug 15th. They never did so I had to call/email them multiple times to reach them. When I did, they blatantly lied that our gate was locked so their surveyor couldn't come in to survey the site. Our fence wasn't even built till Aug 15th so I'm not sure which gate they are referring to. I complained more about it on the 15th and they finally sent a surveyor the next day. 3 days has past since and I(including my neighbours) have yet to hear anything from them. Save your money, buy somewhere else. My experience with them has never been good since I moved in a year ago.
