These reviews were all for Hibberd orthodontics. NOT doc braces. Extremely unsatisfied with the work that doc braces has done, to the point where I now drive 1 hour and 30 minute to go to hibberd orthodontics which is all the way in oakville. I would rather drive an extra hour and a half and pay more money to go to dr hibberd than to continue at doc braces. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the treatment, prices, advice, efficiency and much more. DO NOT GO HERE.

I will personally recommend docbrace for those who have not or thinking about getting braces. Special thanks to the amazing staff at docbrace Bloor location, to all the doctors, technicians, administrators and Cathy for making my life time changes a memorable.

Many of the positive reviews on Google Maps for DocBraces were written for Hibberd Orthodontics, which DocBraces purchased and replaced in 2022. It seems disingenuous that Docbraces is keeping these reviews up. These reviews make it seem like more people have rated DocBraces highly than is accurate and is very misleading. I am thoroughly unsatisfied with the care I received at DocBraces with Dr. Mahtab Nouri. I was a patient of the previous practice owner, Dr. Graeme Hibberd, for over 20 years. I'm incredibly disappointed that the practice was sold and that many patients only found out when they phoned to make a follow-up appointment. This lack of communication is very unprofessional for both Hibberd Orthodontics and Docbraces. It also feels unsettling that a medical practice can sell our medical records without at least notifying the patients, let alone without getting our consent. I had a long treatment process and finished all my orthodontic work, and I was only using retailers to maintain my teeth. I booked an appointment because I had bite alignment issues and was still wearing my Hibberd Orthodontics retainers. The atmosphere of the clinic is a lot less welcoming and relaxing than it used to be. My appointment was very rushed with the orthodontist, and they seemed overbooked. After looking at my chart for no more than a few minutes, Dr. Mahtab Nouri of DocBraces told me the only way to fix my minor bite alignment issues was to extract two teeth and get braces or Invisalign again. This intensive treatment plan recommendation that would take years and cost thousands of dollars shocked me. I wasn't offered any other less expensive, extensive, or painful options to consider. I've already spent years and thousands of dollars on my teeth. My teeth look perfect after all this and were fine in every way except for this minor issue. I talked to my dentist, and they suggested I stop wearing the retainers. They were horrified that an orthodontist recommended that I get any teeth removed. It is apparently very difficult to shift your teeth as an adult, and there are a lot more risks. I was not told about any risks or potential challenges at Docbraces. After taking out my retainers, in a few days, the pain from the bite alignment stopped, and my bite returned to a comfortable normal. I consulted with another orthodontist, and they told me that due to my age, I was not a good candidate for the type of dental work that Docbraces suggested, and I was at risk of making my teeth worse if I attempted any of these procedures. I am utterly shocked that this place told me I must remove teeth to fix this minor issue and gave me no other options. It seems like they just want you to pay for the most expensive service possible, whether or not that treatment option is medically the best choice for you. But the same can now be said for Hibberd Orthodontics. For years they provided exceptional care to their patients. But unfortunately, when they wanted to sell, they did not seem to care who they sold their business to and what care their abandoned patients would receive. If I need any more orthodontic work, I will be going elsewhere.
