The Urban Athlete

I've been very fortunate to have been treated by physiotherapist, Emily Russo at The Urban Athlete. Whether it's been an injury to my elbows courtesy of overuse during heavy shovelling last Winter or relieving a long-standing lower back issues. She provides excellent therapy, listening and responding to my concerns. She provides exercises and modifies them as needed. I came here as Dr. Wells was recommended to me. I can't say enough great things about him! I felt like an old man after my car accident but after two visits I'm feeling so much better! He was patient, explained everything to me and provided top-quality treatment and aftercare exercises that are helping a lot!

I've been here a few times on recommendation of a friend and have been pleased with my experience up until yesterday. This has nothing to do with the treatment, but about the automatic charge policy. I had an appointment at 10:30am yesterday and at 9am had to bring my cat to the emergency vet due to something that I was entirely unable to plan for. When she was admitted I called TUA (obviously sounding distressed) to explain the situation and why I would not be able to make the appointment. Without ANY empathy or even saying I'm sorry to hear that, the receptionist who I spoke with simply said "I'll still need to charge you for the appointment - would you like to re-book". I'm in shock that anyone working in the health and wellness field could lack such empathy and that the company itself wouldn't have a policy that allows for exceptions such as this. To say that I'm disappointed in the lack of service yesterday would be an understatement. Do better.
