The first psychiatrist pretended that he didn't hear me three times when I tried to explain my symptoms. He changed the subject to something completely different and that made me very confused. Something traumatic happened and I felt destroyed, but he insisted that I was simply being anxious because of school work and prescribed medication for anxiety. I did not feel anxious at all.
The second psychiatrist did not believe that I was depressed and instead said it was just "mood change". She did not do an assessment to come to this conclusion. I have a diagnosis and have been taking medication for depression for years. I have seen multiple psychiatrists they all said it was depression. She also used the word "foolish" to comment on something else I said. It seemed to me that she held some negative biases, and I don't know why.
