Had my first appointment with Dr. Gebara today and she was empathetic, efficient, and knowledgeable. Im grateful to have such a friendly and accessible clinic in the neighbourhood.

ONLY THURSDAYS for walk in appts. their website and branding is very misleading.

The entire medical team is kind and caring, very compassionate and not at all judgemental. And those wonderful techs in the lab!! Love them. On the other hand, the front desk leaves a lot to be desired. It seems to be new staff almost every visit which doesnt need to be a problem, howeverrrrr It is as if they do not communicate with one another. They are not at all versed in compassionate care, they seem to be completely unaware of anything regarding medical leave, poverty, mental wellness (beyond the checksheet they have to use in case you mention mental health), medical notes and their requirements, etc etc etc. They have argued with me about every note that comes with a price tag (22$). The whole paying for notes while on medical leave is pretty weird but to hold them hostage as though benefits dont hinge on them pretty terrible. Understanding the systems and how their office fits in is important. Its truly disappointing and pretty upsetting to need to qualify your personal situations to anyone other than your doctor. I sincerely hope it improves, its really a bummer to feel like I want to or need to avoid my medical care because its so upsetting to get to.
