I wanted to open an account with Laurentian because I was reading about their responsible approach go not investing in fossil fuels unlike other banks. However, its as if they dont even want new clients. I called to make an appointment to open a chequing account, went to the appointment with the documents they said I needed, but they said they wouldnt do it that day and would call me later in the week to have the account opened. I never received a call from them. I dont see why they wouldnt just do it during the first appointment.
