Never had issues with this branch. Flexible hours including Saturdays are great, especially for people that work Monday to Friday. The staff always explain stuff in great detail if I have questions about anything. Ive been an ACU member for over 15 years. I really dont have any complaints or memory of bad moments that made me want to switch to a bank.

Jr loans dept. reps that have zero flexibility. Couldnt figure out alternatives for a minor loan based on someone self employed but with a long track record of steady income. Robin branch. What a waste of my time

worst hours for a bank and they're always changing the hours so can never make it there during the week to deposit paychecks.

One star because of how terrible their app is. The bank is fine if you go into their institute and deal with them personally, but youd expect them to have a functioning, intuitive app in 2022. You would not believe the amount of hatred I harbour for their awful app. Worst app on my phone.

This credit union and it's staff are fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgeable folks in branch to help you. I'm so glad we got our mortgage here, they've made everything very simple and make it easy to establish a very low -rate line of credit in case of emergency, as well as policies that are helping us pay down the balance ahead of schedule. The investment advisor was excellent too! They were able to find things that met our more complicated requests. (Even some of the big investment firms weren't able to offer the kinds of investment products we wanted.) I'm extremely impressed with the tellers - they try so hard to be helpful despite some people being clearly unreasonable. Pro-tip: Don't yell at tellers for not being able to access your account with OTHER credit unions*. It's great they share an ATM network - but that doesn't magically make them the same bank. You can't walk into a Tim Hortons and get a Big Mac - it's equally impossible to walk into the ACU and expect them to do anything with an accounts at a totally different company. If you switched your accounts to ACU (which I have no doubt they'd politely help you with) then they'd be able to help you. Pro-tip 2: If you are making foreign currency purchase or international money transfers there are ALWAYS conversion fees involved. The global monetary exchange system is very complex - but if you politely ask the tellers to help you, they can determine what the final amounts involved with be. Pro-tip 3: No, the tellers cannot cash out your significant other's pay cheque to you - that's a crime, it's not your money. But I bet if you talked to them NICELY they'd set you up with a joint account. *Actually, just don't yell at customer service people ever.
