Unhelpful staff. They will not make change unless a CIBC customer, despite other branches (CIBC @ Yonge & St. Clair; TD @ Bathurst & St. Clair) doing so willingly.

I do banking here for bussiness purposes. The location is smaller than most banking institutions. The staff is very helpful and paitent.

The staff always seem to find problems that don't exist. Every time I go in there they need to take a copy of my ID, again, and have me resubmit my signature with authorization for the most persnickety things like the f isn't as long as it was last time I signed (sadly, I'm not joking). This time the teller again had issues, I pulled out my ID and she proceeded to get snotty as I wordlessly put multiple singed pieces of ID on the counter and call me SIR for the remainder of the transaction. Its 2022, passive aggressively misgendering someone because you're being persnickety don't have adequate customer service training or supervision is unacceptable. What's your next solution Mr. A Louis? Teach your tellers to whisper slurs under their breath? Shame on you.

I can only confirm what another reviewer has posted the CIBC, and this branch in particular, needs to learn what customer service is about. I have have been trying to reach someone at the CIBC for months (I am from the area, but live in Europe now and my 91 yr. old mother is no longer able to help with these things). My contact person at the CIBC retired without me being notified of a replacement. My emails only elicit an automatic reply that she is no longer at the bank. Repeated attempts by phone (an endless, useless wait, leaving my phone number and account number had no result whatsoever), and numerous emails, were completely fruitless. I finally got a reply from this branch by booking an in-person appointment. Not something I would not be able participate in, but at least I got a reply, albeit standard and non-committal. After explaining that I need assistance in dealing with my account etc and asking for help, either directly or by referring me to someone who CAN or is WILLING to help, no more answers were forthcoming, even after repeated emails. All I want is ASSISTANCE. NO help AT ALL, not even a REPLY. I have had an account at the CIBC since university 40 yrs ago, but when I am next in TO I will empty my account and go to another bank immediately. Which will be soon.
