So bad experience with them. They all just need to finish up the line they are not listening what we are saying Instead of solving a problem, they just let the customer to go out of the bank. Just focus on finishing the line. Never ever visit this branch.

This Scotiabank location has always been problematic as far back as I can remember. The tellers chitchat way too much about nonsense with customers and waste time unnecessarily while other customers are waiting in line. Then you have customers that have an enormous process to take care of with their bank accounts, or otherwise, and they take up one of usually two tellers trying to fix problems that should be by appointment only but the bank still chooses to accommodate these customers as opposed to making them an appointment or telling them that they need to make an appointment for these types of things. You have employees from the back offices walking back and forth carrying coffee mugs, chatting with other bank employees and laughing while doing absolutely nothing or pretending to be preoccupied and working. Customers with lengthy problems should be redirected to the employees in the back offices to help them with their lengthy problems or complicated concerns. The employees in the back offices have the same computer system, they have a desk and they chairs. This is where lengthy problems should be addressed and NOT at the teller stations while others are waiting. This bank does everything backwards. Tellers are there for convenience, ie. to pay a few bills, withdraw some money etc. Tellers are not there to gossip with customers wasting time unnecessarily while others are patiently waiting, that is simply inappropriate and unacceptable. Conversations between bank staff and customers should be strictly business, some extra minimal conversation is ok but this location takes the conversations to a level that should be be reserved for coffee shops that serve coffee and have tables to accommodate this accordingly. Scotiabank is not a coffee shop or a Starbucks. Managers do not address any of the aforementioned problems at all, they sit around doing other things and continue to allow the bank to operate on a dysfunctional level. This is completely unacceptable and completely unprofessional. This location needs a complete overhaul and some internal restructuring. They should also consider having a designated teller for customers that are working and need to return to work. Customers that work need to return to work, its really that simple. Customers that need to return to work dont have time to wait while the tellers chat with a retired old lady for 30 minutes about nonsense.
