We had a wonderful experience visiting this branch of BMO today! Everything was perfect - starting from how warmly they're welcoming the newcomers, ending with how all the stuff members tried their best to make contact with our quite noisy 1-year-old child. Horrible experience. I visited the branch to activate a credit card (that could only be activated in person). Two staff were helping one customer, while a third staff completely ignored me. 15-20 minutes of waiting later, another customer walked into the branch and the third staff rushed to help them. Seeing this, I spoke up and one of the two staff helping the first customer finally agreed to help me . After trying unsuccessfully to activate my card, the staff told me that the card set up would take a while, but that I wouldn't need to wait around for it to be complete and she would call me once it was ready. She called me later that day to say that the card was activated. Later that week, I tried to use the card at a store, only to find out it wasn't activated. I had to visit another branch. The staff there was able to get it set up within minutes.
