This branch constantly is UNDERSTAFFED!!! It takes an hour!!! to do simplest transaction There are two tellers constantly wondering around and not knowing what to do It is like stepping into the different world

Abdul needs to work on his customer service skills. I came into this location to, because it was conveniently close to where I picked up my check from a corporation that has paid me previously before. Abdul needs to learn not to waste peoples time. He kept grilling me about why I dont just deposit my checks online, I told him that I prefer to do so in person because online takes a limited amount of business days to be processed rather than in person I could simply have access and use my money immediately after depositing. So with that reason being very clear he still continued to grill me about banking online and then was speaking to me like he is insinuating that I might me attempting to deposit a fraudulent check, he even came around the desk to get a better look at me and try to peak into my pouch which had my ID. He takes forever to process the check just to tell me that he has to put my check on hold for a couples days after already wasting 10 mins of my time trying to press me to use online banking for checks. Speaking with a tone as if Im not intelligent for doing so. He then decided to hold my check to simply be petty. He used the classic excuse that its for security reasons even tho I explained to him I have other statements from this year all the way back to 2019 of me depositing checks from the very same corporation, that being said should completely diminish that security reasons. I immediately took back my check and told him that makes no sense, providing the information and went to another location that deposited my check with no issues, didnt press me on how I go about my banking, didnt have to step around the teller desk to get a better look at me, it didn't take 20 minutes like with Abdul, no within 5 minutes my check was deposited no problem and that teller (who actually had customer service skills and COMMON SENSE) upgraded my RBC account to something I left happy with. Same bank, different experience and reviews.in the end of it all I felt like he was just profiling me and was so quick to assume Im a scammer, but im used to this as a Black man, and I understand the stigmas. Maybe Abdul watches too many African scammer movies on Netflix and thinks that all of us have FRAUDULENT CHECKS.
